About the project

Public institutions can be understood.

An independent guide to how Puerto Rico’s government is organized and what its institutions do.

Understand before memorizing

Government becomes easier to understand when we connect a need with a responsibility, an institution, and the rule granting its authority. This project brings those connections together through profiles, lessons, a map, and games.

Independent project. This is not an official Puerto Rico government website. Official links let readers check the information and find current service instructions.

Research edition

This edition contains 245 institutional profiles in both languages and ten lessons. The coverage register distinguishes corroborated profiles from matters still under research. Successfully retrieving a page is not automatic proof of every claim or of a roster’s currency.

The initial research report is a starting point, not the final authority. For example, Act 83-2025 changed the Police structure; the historical profile is retained and its successor explained. Source disagreements are recorded for review.
